No ONE should have to Hope for Soap

Soap for Hope Canada provides access to essential hygiene products to improve the health, hope, and dignity of vulnerable people, from Children to Seniors, to low-income Families, Refugees, Indigenous Communities, Homeless people, and people in Evacuation Centers for fires and floods. 

We primarily work with the hotel industry, collecting gently used hygiene products, linens and lost & found items. We repurpose these items and distribute them to Community Facilities serving people in need.

OUR REPURPOSING JOURNEY 

 

1 . FROM HOTELS

We collect discarded hygiene products, linens, and lost & found from hotels, preventing them from ending up in the landfill.

2 . TO OUR WAREHOUSE

 
 

In our warehouse, these items are sorted, squeezed, filled, washed, or folded, extending their usable life.

3 . TO COMMUNITY FACILITIES

We distribute these repurposed items to Community Facilities, bringing hope and dignity to those in need.

Empowering Victoria's Youth: Soap for Hope Canada and HarbourCats Team Up!

We are thrilled to announce a new campaign in collaboration with the Victoria HarbourCats, aimed at providing essential hygiene and oral care products to over 2,000 kids and teens in Victoria. Throughout the HarbourCats' 2024 season, starting on June 7th at Royal Athletic Park, we will be collecting gently used and new hygiene products and raising funds through a 50-50 raffle.

Gently used or New: Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, and Body Lotion.

New or Unused: Deodorants, Toothpaste, and Toothbrushes.

Hygiene is critical for staying healthy and maintaining self-confidence. Unfortunately, many kids and teens in Victoria lack access to basic hygiene and oral care products due to rising living costs and inflation. This can lead to health issues and missed school days, affecting their education and overall well-being. According to Statistics Canada, there were 6,910 children in the Victoria Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) living in poverty in 2021.

Your support will help ensure that every child can attend school confidently and consistently, fostering better health and self-esteem in our community. Let's work together to empower our local youth!
